BODYWORK FOR PTSD 1 - 16 CE

Bodywork for PTSD 1 explores the effects of trauma on the body through massage and bodywork, focusing on the pathophysiological impacts and the role of touch in recovery. The curriculum covers various topics over 16 hours, including the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, environmental impacts on PTSD, and the definition and evaluation of trauma across different client populations. Students learn about complex PTSD, assess vitality and stress responses, perform interactive exercises for client feedback, and practice manual techniques designed to address trauma in specific body areas like the lower back and neck. Emphasis is placed on maintaining professional boundaries, compassion in client interactions, and integrating learned techniques into personalized treatment plans.
